APPLYING FOR A TEACHING POSITION

If you are applying to the Sudbury Catholic District School Board for the first time you need to ensure that the Board has the following on file:

  • Ontario College of Teacher's Membership Certificate
  • Ontario College of Teacher's Qualification Record Card
  • Practice Teaching Record / Performance Appraisal
  • QECO (certificate / letter)
  • University Transcripts
  • Faith Reference Portfolio / Faith Reference
  • Criminal Check
If you are not currently employed with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board but have previously forwarded the above documentation in application for a teaching position, please note that material is kept on file for 1 year only. Please resubmit the supporting documents if necessary. In addition, both current and prospective teachers need to complete the appropriate application form and submit it by the deadline listed in the posting. Please include written authorization to check references.


APPLYING FOR A POSITION OTHER THAN TEACHING

If you are applying for a position other than teaching, please ensure your application package includes:

  • Complete Curriculum Vitae
  • Verification of Qualifications
  • Personal and Professional References
  • Name and Address of Last Employer


HOW TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY FORMS

If you are applying for a position you may be required to fill out additional forms for that particular posting. You can download the necessary forms from the Forms Page. If you prefer, you can contact the Board to make arrangements to obtain original forms for your application package.


WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT

In accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, you need to provide written authorization to contact references. Please include a written authorization with your application package.


HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION PACKAGE
Your application package can be submitted online, by post, by fax or in person at the Board office. Please ensure that you have included the following:

  • Complete Curriculum Vitae and Supporting Documentation
  • All Required Forms
  • Written Authorization to Contact References
