The next meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held Tuesday, August 19 2008 at 7:00 pm in the main boardroom at the Catholic Education Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend. Welcome On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to welcome you to the Sudbury Catholic Schools where hopes and dreams are achieved through academic excellence. Our schools offer education in the Catholic tradition to several thousand students in the City of Greater Sudbury. The first message relayed to the students as they come through our doors is that each one of them is worthwhile, possesses great dignity and is of infinite value. They learn that this comes to them ultimately because they reflect in their lives the image and mystery of God, who is at the heart of the of the world they inhabit and for which they are responsible. Rooted in this vision is the belief that Catholic education fosters the search for knowledge as a lifelong spiritual and academic quest. It is no secret that our successes as a Board are a tribute to the teamwork, cooperation and dedication of our students, parents, staff and our partners in Catholic education. We look forward to continuing to build on these strong relationships and to working in concert with all our stakeholders to meet the challenges of not only this year but future years as well.
