CUPE Local 1369 Reaches Tentative Agreement with SCDSB
November 11, 2008 - The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 1369 and the Sudbury Catholic District School Board have reached a tentative collective agreement with its custodial, maintenance and warehouse staff. The Board’s negotiating committee will bring the tentative proposal forward to the Trustees with a recommendation for approval on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Read more...
St. Benedict CSS to Hold Book Fair
November 3, 2008 - The St. Benedict CSS Library is excited to be holding its first Book Fair in conjunction with Chapters Book Store. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, between the hours of 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. We encourage you and your child to visit the Book Fair as it will connect students to the newest and best books; books they are interested in reading. OECTA Secondary School Teachers Reach Tentative Agreement with SCDSB
November 3, 2008 - The Sudbury Secondary Bargaining Unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) and the Sudbury Catholic District School Board have reached a tentative agreement with its Catholic secondary school teachers. The OECTA negotiating team is recommending acceptance of the contract. The Board’s negotiating committee will bring the tentative proposal forward to the Trustees with a recommendation for approval on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Read more...

OECTA Elementary School Teachers Reach Tentative Agreement with SCDSB
October 29, 2008 - The Sudbury Elementary Bargaining Unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) and the Sudbury Catholic District School Board have reached a tentative agreement with its Catholic elementary school teachers. The OECTA negotiating team is recommending acceptance of the contract. OECTA Sudbury elementary membership will hold a ratification vote at the Ukrainian Hall on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Sudbury Catholic Schools to Host Aboriginal Faith-Based Professional Development Day
October 27, 2008 - On November 28, 2008 the Sudbury Catholic District School Board will be hosting an Aboriginal Faith-Based Professional Development Day for all Sudbury Catholic Schools staff. The theme of this day will be “Sudbury Catholic Schools... Creating Hopes and Dreams Through Excellence: Bwaajige Daa (Let’s All Dream Together)”. We want to celebrate First Nation’s cultures by asking student and adult dancers to take part in this morning session. All dancers that take part in our day will be paid an honorarium for their participation in this celebration of culture, history and language.
