SCDSB Grade 5 Students create Web pages and communicate their Destination Conservation activities over the Internet by:
  • using digital cameras to record activities and findings
  • scanning original artwork and drawings
  • using software such as QuatroPro and Graphers for audit results
  • using Web creation and other software
  • collaborating with other SCDSB schools in designing the site

1. Select a lifestyle campaign:

  • lights off
  • turn it off - computer equipment
  • turn it off - electrical devices
  • closing windows
  • closing doors (incl. vestibule and external doors)

  • Water Campaigns

  • turn off taps tightly
  • don't run the water

  • Waste Campaigns

  • garbage-free lunch
  • reduce
  • reuse
  • recycle
  • double your paper

  • 2. Create activities with measurable goals.
     

    3. Contribute to the final SCDSB project, which will be a Website connecting the various activities and findings among our Grade 5 classes!
