The Public Health Agency of Canada announced that the H1N1 flu vaccine has received regulatory approval and has been found to be safe and effective. The Ministry of Health has also announced its rollout plans for the Province of Ontario, along with a self assessment tool for influenza.

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board continues to take measures to ensure that parents and students and staff are kept aware of the resources available to them to help prevent the transmission of the H1N1 virus.

This is being accomplished through various means such as; in house education via the Hand Hygiene and Cough etiquette clinics that were provided by the Sudbury & District Health Unit (SDHU), posters distributed Board wide that were developed internally in addition to those provided by the Sudbury & District Health Unit , and now , this hand washing video that parents and staff can review with our student population.
