December 14, 2006 -
St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School will be holding its 8th Annual Christmas Sponsored Families Campaign to support families from St. David, St. Francis and St. Christopher Catholic schools as well as the Salvation Army. Each home room class will sponsor a Greater Sudbury family to help brighten their Christmas. The students also raise money to purchase gifts for the children and collect food items, all of which are donated to the schools and the Salvation Army and delivered to the families. It is a wonderful tradition at St. Benedict which has brought a great deal of joy and commitment to both students and staff over the last eight years.|
The Salvation Army will be picking up the packages on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School, 2993 Algonquin Road for 18 families. Staff and students at St. Benedict’s will deliver the remaining packages to the respective schools.
