On November 28, 2008 the Sudbury Catholic District School Board will be hosting an Aboriginal Faith-Based Professional Development Day for all Sudbury Catholic Schools staff. The theme of this day will be “Sudbury Catholic Schools... Creating Hopes and Dreams Through Excellence: Bwaajige Daa (Let’s All Dream Together)”.|
Vendors and information booths will promote and share Aboriginal and Catholic resources and cultural artistry in the form of crafts, books, literature and artwork. The day will include a celebration of the Liturgy with First Nation Elders at 9:00 a.m. followed by a First Nation dancing and drumming exhibition at 11:00 a.m. At 1:00 p.m. Mr. David Bouchard, prominent Métis author and public speaker will make his keynote address to the audience.

Time: 8:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (lunch and snacks provided)
Participant Activity: As part of the P.D. Day morning, dancers will be asked to dance during the mass - offertory procession and also as a demonstration to honour and celebrate First Nation’s cultures.
