CUPE Local 1369 Reaches Tentative Agreement with SCDSB

November 11, 2008 - The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 1369 and the Sudbury Catholic District School Board have reached a tentative collective agreement with its custodial, maintenance and warehouse staff.

The Board’s negotiating committee will bring the tentative proposal forward to the Trustees with a recommendation for approval on Tuesday, November 18, 2008.

Paula Peroni, Board Chair and Chair of the Board’s negotiation committee and
Marc Boisvert CUPE President, stated that the tentative agreement was the result of good will and determination by both parties and the positive attitude demonstrated by both the Union and the Board negotiating teams throughout the process.

The CUPE Sudbury membership will hold a ratification vote at the
St. Albert Adult Centre on Sunday, November 16, 2008.
