September 26, 2012 - Students at Pius XII participated in a walk-a-thon and raised $963.15 towards Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Catholic School Council Chair, Shelley Sloan, was overwhelmed with the generosity and success of the walk-a-thon. 'My son, Nicholas, attends Pius XII school and has Type 2 diabetes. This was a great opportunity to educate the school community about diabetes and the importance of healthy eating and exercise". The students listened to Nicholas as he spoke about diabetes and hoping that one day, there will be a cure.
