St. Charles College, ESP Program Recognized by Greater Sudbury Police Force

December 5, 2005 - St. Charles College and the Empowered Student Partnerships (ESP) were honoured for the many initiatives dedicated to enhancing school and community safety by the City Greater Sudbury's Police Services Board. St. Charles College was the first school in community to spearhead the ESP initiative in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Services.

Since January 2004 the ESP committee has hosted exhibition basketball games, various guest speakers, dance theatre and numerous other awareness/educational campaigns. At the request of the Greater Sudbury Police Services, Ms. Salvador, Ms. Mayer and student moderator, Kayla Martell were honoured with Certificates of Appreciation for their on-going commitment to enhancing community safety through the Empowered Student Partnerships.

In addition to receiving the Police/Community Partnerships Award, presented by Ray Bonin M.P. Nickel Belt, St. Charles College was also presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Greater Sudbury Police Services Board and a Certificate of Recognition from Rick Bartolucci, M.P.P. Sudbury.
