Poor Weather Conditions Sees Walden Cross Country Fitness Club Free Ski on March 15th Cancelled

March 9, 2006 - The Walden Cross Country Fitness Club(WCCFC) regrets to inform board staff and employees of the Sudbury Catholic District School Board that they have had to cancel the Free Ski scheduled for March 15th. Weather weather conditions over the last few days has resulted in a rapid and serious deterioration of trail conditions.

The initiative had been the WCCFC’s way of supporting the Greater Sudbury Healthy Community Strategy adopted by the Council of the City of Greater Sudbury.

The WCCFC maintains trails set for classical and skate skiing which vary in difficulty from novice to advanced and in length from 1 to 9 km. The WCCFC is situated at Laura St. and Denis Ave. in Naughton, 20 minutes from downtown Sudbury on Regional Road 55.
