Resources for Catholic Educators features over 5000 links for religion teachers and catechists. Included are lesson plans, religious clipart, coloring pages, worksheets and information on hundreds of topics and issues relevant to religious education. 


The Bible Gateway is a tool for reading scripture online. Additionally, it provides advanced searching capabilities, allowing readers to find particular passages in scripture, based on keywords. 


The Mary Page, created by the University of Dayton, a Catholic University in Ohio, boasts the world's largest collection of material on The Blessed Virgin Mary. This is an excellent site for any kind of research related to Mary - feast days prayers (all 325!), titles used for the Blessed Virgin Mary, Marian apparitions, Mary in popular culture, art, etc.

This is a good Web site from about.com for all things Catholic - especially for teacher and older student's reference. It is American rather than Canadian and so some of the justice links concern American situations.

This is the Web site for World Youth Day, the gathering of Catholic young people (up to age 35) from 150 countries. There will be days spent in various Canadian dioceses (July 18-21) before meeting in Toronto (July 23 -28). The pope is planning to come to Toronto to be part of the celebration. This is to be the Big event in Canadian Catholic life this year, and the World Youth Day Cross will be in our Diocese in early February. The involvement of participants or volunteers is part of our Board's Direction for the year, so you'll be hearing lots more about World Youth Day - geared especially to older teens and younger adults.
